What Database Do you Use?

One of my coaching clients recently asked my recommendation on a database system and if I knew what other loan officers were using. I posted the question on my Facebook page; Karen Deis also posted this question. Here the answers along with some comments:

    PlantinumPro: Inexpensive

AllClients: About $40 a month; nice mix of features and simplicity. Very informative referral tree feature (I think this would be cool!)

Salesforce: about $1,000 a year, does everything.

Top of Mind: pre-made videos, $50 a loan

    MPC: $1,000 a year

    ACT

    Velma: $49 a month

    Sendsations: Great postcard mailing system

    Cimmeron: Best program ever

    Sticky notes and napkins: Free

I personally use Velma. Its cost is $49 and I like that I can export to Excel when I need the database for anything else. I do not use it to its fullest (10 stripes with a wet noodle for me). I also use iContact for email blasts. I have just started using Sendsations for recipe postcards.

Here is my thought (remember, you get what you pay for on this blog): I feel that any system will help your business as long as you use it by consistently updating, adding new clients and marketing to your people.
