Over the years, I have tried to pass on many marketing tips as possible. But Optimum, the bundled television/telephone/Internet service offering from Cablevision has come out with a commercial that pretty much sums it all up in about a minute.

Well, that might be exaggerating a little bit, but if you are able to view this commercial and need help in marketing your business, take notes.

The spot gives step-by-step on how to create a campaign, including separate spokesman and celebrity endorser plus a family testimonial. (By the way, reverse mortgage marketers looking for a celebrity spokesman take note: Gordon Schumway, Optimum’s celebrity endorser, was born in 1756! To most of us, Schumway is better known as ALF.)

It even talks about enhancing graphics to make them more memorable, plus convenient to remember catch phrases. A marketing effort that is transparent about what it is trying to accomplish—what a concept!
