COMPLIANCE FOR NON-COMPLIANCE PROFESSIONALS - HOW TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN COMPLIANCE AND OPERATIONS IN REALITY
The need for compliance knowledge, both Federal and State, is unprecedented. Until now, having a solid knowledge of operational issues and “how to run your business” has been enough. Now we must understand which Federal Regulations, Acts, and Multi-State Regulations govern our business activities and operations along with understand our company’s level of exposure and the big question: will we pass Regulator Examinations or not?
And hiring compliance personnel isn’t enough. There needs to be a compliance mindset across the organization both to address business issues that are compliance driven and to connect the dots between operational execution and complying with regulations.
This panel examines the real world of compliance in an operationally-driven industry. With more than two decades of experience in loan servicing/default, operations and in regulatory compliance, the speakers will discuss how gaining compliance knowledge in day-to-day operational work activities and applying compliance governance over those areas is not an unbridgeable gap.
