Oman retired from Wells Fargo & Co. in 2011, after working for the company for more than 30 years. He held a variety of management positions at the San Francisco-based financial institution, most recently as senior executive vice president and head of Wells Fargo’s home and consumer finance group.
During Oman’s tenure, Wells Fargo grew to be the largest originator of home mortgages in the U.S. According to figures compiled by NMN, Wells Fargo has $125.7 billion in total residential volume through the fourth quarter of 2012, the most among all lenders nationwide.
