San Mateo-Remend Inc. has appointed Steve Kadel to the new role of solution architect.

Mr. Kadel brings 30 years of mortgage industry experience in the design and development of new systems and has lead system deployments for many of the largest mortgage servicing operations.

He brings mortgage industry experience to Remend having worked with Fair Isaac Corp., London Bridge Solutions, CheckFree Corp. and Eastern Solutions Inc., a company he founded in 1988.

San Mateo-Remend Inc. has appointed William Garland to lead business development and customer operations in the Western area.

Mr. Garland brings over 30 years of mortgage industry experience in executive roles in mortgage lending, servicing and capital markets management.

He has held executive positions with Fairbanks Capital, Advanta Mortgage Corp., Security Pacific Financial Services Inc. and Gibraltar Moneycenter Inc.


Greenwich-Starwood Capital Group has appointed William J. Jandrisits to the position of director of finance.

In this newly created position, Mr. Jandrisits will oversee the financing of all new acquisitions by Starwood Capital and the refinancing of portfolio assets.

He most recently served as a managing director, North American real estate for RBC Financial Group. Previously, he spent nine years at the Royal Bank of Canada, where he last served as vice president of global real estate.


Tampa-Mortgage Contracting Services said that Stacey Baumann has joined the firm as vice president of default services.

Prior to joining MCS, Ms. Baumann served as vice president of operations for First American National Claims Outsourcing and as manager of property preservation, hazard claims and conveyance claims for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

With MCS, she is expected to play a leadership role in business development, hazard claims, MIS and operations.

Jacksonville-XSell LLC has named Alan Himmelreich as new business development director.

Mr. Himmelreich has more than seven years of experience in financial services sales and consulting.

Prior to joining XSell, he worked for Redondo Beach, Calif.-based OutSell Consulting Inc. Before OutSell, he was a sales manager at Merrill Lynch in New York.


Silver Spring-The National Foundation for Credit Counseling has appointed Helene Raynaud as director of national partnerships.

Ms. Raynaud will be focusing her efforts on developing and administering national partnership programs designed to cultivate permanent, nationwide, strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporations, foundations, and other nonprofit agencies and individuals.

Prior to joining the NFCC, she worked at Fannie Mae for seven years where she developed and managed housing counseling software, and managed relationships and pilot programs between nonprofit agencies, lenders and servicers.


Sudbury-Graystone has named Matthew W. McGrail executive vice president, operations.

Mr. McGrail has over 18 years of retail and mortgage banking experience, most recently with Eastern Bank and Plymouth Savings Bank.


New York-Mortgage Management Inc. said that Gary Gordon, formerly chief U.S. market strategist for UBS, has joined the company as an executive vice president.

In his over 20 years on Wall Street, Mr. Gordon covered the financial services, housing and consumer finance industries. As an equity research analyst, he followed savings banks, mortgage and credit card lenders, finance companies, homebuilders and REITs.

He also served for several years as the UBS chief U.S. market strategist and most recently was the research director at a hedge fund.


Greensboro-AIG United Guaranty has named Dave Beaumier as vice president of production for its loss-recovery service, Investors Mortgage Asset Recovery Co.

Mr. Beaumier's industry experience includes 10 years as a senior account executive in Wisconsin for AIG United Guaranty.

He also was the founding manager for AIG United Guaranty's general insurance agency, United Guaranty Direct.


Philadelphia-Radian Guaranty Inc. said that Christopher G. Curran has joined the company as senior vice president, capital markets.

He brings over 18 years of financial services experience to Radian.

Most recently, Mr. Curran has served as vice president of investor relations for Advanta. Mr. Curran previously served as vice president of Advanta Mortgage, prior to Advanta's 2001 sale of its mortgage operations to Chase where he served as senior vice president of Chase Home Finance.


Irving-EMC Mortgage Corp. said that John Vella is joining the firm as president and chief operating officer. Mr. Vella has spent over 20 years in the mortgage industry.

He most recently was the president and chief operating officer for Aames Investment Corp. Prior to that he was with Option One Mortgage Corp. where he served as the chief sales officer and chief administrative officer.

Mr. Vella has also held senior positions at Household International, GMAC/RFC, Freddie Mac, Fleet National Bank and FDIC/FSLIC.

Irving-Kurt W. Reheiser has joined the EMC Mortgage Corp. staff as senior vice president of conduit technology.

Mr. Reheiser joins EMC from Centex Home Equity Co. in Dallas where he served as senior vice president of information technology.

Prior to that, he was with Advanta Mortgage Corp. in San Diego, Service Corp. International in Houston and American National Life Insurance in Galveston.

Dallas-The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas has promoted Mark Wert to treasurer and Bud Gill to assistant treasurer.

Mr. Wert, who joined FHLBank Dallas in 2002 as funding manager, will be responsible for managing the bank's investment activities, funding and balance sheet hedging.

He formerly was with Banc of America Securities in a variety of roles, including derivative sales and high-grade debt origination.

Mr. Gill, who joined FHLBank Dallas in 2001 as the portfolio manager, will be responsible for MBS investments, and will assist with balance sheet hedging, funding and other capital market activities.

He formerly was a vice president of analytics for Corporate Network Brokerage Services and prior to that was with Smith Breeden Associates.

Fort Worth-Rapid Reporting said that John Walker has joined the company as national sales manager.

Mr. Walker joined Rapid Reporting from Collegiate Pacific where he was the sales manager. He was also an account executive with Digital Impact Inc.
