San Mateo-Remend Inc. said that Mike Toth has joined the company as vice president of sales.

Mr. Toth brings a sales background that includes over 25 years of account sales experience at the national level and working with corporate accounts.

He has experience in developing large national sales organizations, starting new sales organizations and leading corporate account programs at companies including Citrix Systems, Comark, SCO and Memorex.

Walnut Creek-PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. promoted Laura Hollabaugh to vice president of bulk transactions.

Ms. Hollabaugh joined PMI in 2003 as GSE senior deal manager in the structured transactions group and was promoted to director of structured transactions in 2005.

Prior to joining PMI she was a senior product manager performing execution analysis for the capital deployment group at Freddie Mac.


Stamford-VantageScore Solutions LLC has hired Sarah Davies as a senior vice president to oversee the company's analytics and product management.

Ms. Davies has nearly 20 years of analytics and information sciences experience in various industries, including financial services.

Most recently she oversaw analytics at IntelliRisk Management Corp. and prior to joining IntelliRisk Management was senior vice president of marketing at Advanta Financial Services.

Shelton-Clayton Holdings said that former Intuit executive John P. Courtney has joined Clayton as chief information officer and will be responsible for all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure and strategy.

Mr. Courtney has more than 18 years of experience in software engineering, including six years with Intuit, where he served as vice president of product development and product management.

Prior to Intuit, he served as CTO and a founding member of EmployeeMatters, which was acquired by Intuit in 2000, and held senior IT positions at Citibank and Waterhouse Securities Inc.


Ewing-Cenlar FSB has added Rosanne Poorten to its new products and market research department.

Ms. Poorten, a second vice president, brings 25 years of mortgage industry experience to the position, including the management of Cenlar's new loans setup department, during the last seven years.

Her previous experience at Cenlar includes managing the deconversion department and assisting in the creation of Cenlar's business development department, and she began her mortgage banking career at Larson Mortgage Co. as an internal auditor.

Paramus-Hudson City Bancorp Inc. promoted James C. Kranz to the position of chief financial officer.

Mr. Kranz, a 23-year veteran of Hudson City, is currently senior vice president and investment officer, responsible for investments, cash flow management and management of interest rate risk.

He will maintain oversight of the entire accounting and finance function as well as primary execution responsibility for investments and borrowings.


Melville-American Brokers Conduit, the wholesale division of American Home Mortgage Investment Corp., has opened its new Cranford, N.J., branch and Robert Meyer has joined the company as vice president and branch manager for the new Cranford office.

Mr. Meyer joins ABC from First National Bank of Arizona.

Prior to his role in establishing a new territory in New York and New Jersey as correspondent account executive for First National Bank of Arizona, he spent eight years with Washington Mutual Bank.

Uniondale-Arbor Realty Trust appointed Christopher J. Read to vice president, asset management.

Mr. Read will support the senior vice president, asset management in overseeing all aspects of Arbor Realty Trust's asset management operations.

Prior to joining Arbor, he was employed by Centre Group Holdings LLC as asset manager/assistant vice president and has held positions as a financial executive for various organizations including The Pyramid Management Group and Republic National Bank of New York.


Philadelphia-Radian Group Inc. promoted Scott Theobald to senior vice president, corporate risk and capital management, Radian Group, and David Rockwell to senior vice president, risk management, Radian Asset Assurance Inc.

Mr. Theobald joined Radian in 1997 as director of costing analytics and was appointed vice president, structured transactions in 1999 and vice president, enterprise risk in 2002.

Prior to joining Radian, he served at Freddie Mac in a variety of analyst positions.

Before joining Radian in 2004 as vice president, risk management, Mr. Rockwell held senior leadership positions managing risk at Marsh & McLennan, Chubb Financial Solutions and American International Group.


Houston-The Situs Cos. has named Nathan Jones as a vice president of Situs Realty Services, overseeing due diligence related to underwriting commercial real estate loans.

Mr. Jones previously worked for Hearthstone Senior Services, an assisted-living developer, as director of market research and feasibility.

Sharon Shackelford has joined Situs Asset Management as vice president of loan administration.

Prior to joining the Situs loan servicing and asset management group, Ms. Shackelford worked for Capital America Client Services.


Richmond-SunTrust Mortgage Inc. said that Denis McLaughlin has been named senior vice president and chief credit officer.

In this role, Mr. McLaughlin will oversee all areas of SunTrust Mortgage's credit risk function including credit policy and exception approval administration, forecasting and decision modeling, analytics and reporting, quality control, fraud mitigation and third-party risk management.

He has more than 22 years of experience in the credit risk and default management areas and comes to SunTrust Mortgage from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Des Moines.
