CALIFORNIA

Santa Ana-MarketLinx Inc., a provider of information technology to the residential real estate industry, appointed Robert Murray as senior vice president and chief information officer.

Mr. Murray will be responsible for establishing and directing the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for MarketLinx's information technology products.

Prior to joining MarketLinx, he was vice president, enterprise technology architecture for The First American Corp.'s Enterprise Technology Group, where he was responsible for enterprise-level technology strategy and guidance for projects that spanned across multiple First American business units.

Santa Ana-First American Home Buyers Protection Corp. has named Daniel T. Langston president and Lawrence F. Hariton chief operating officer.

With nearly 30 years of home warranty experience, Mr. Langston, who joined First American Home Buyers in 1984, served as senior vice president for 20 years before assuming the roles of executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2004, positions that he has held until his appointment as president.

In February 2006, Mr. Hariton was named chief financial officer for First American Home Buyers, a position he will continue to maintain in addition to his new responsibilities as chief operating officer.

Santa Ana-The First American Corp. promoted Landon V. Taylor to senior vice president, director of market development.

In his new role, Mr. Taylor will continue to oversee First American's nationwide strategic markets business strategy, which he launched for the company in 2003.

Since joining First American in 1997, he has held positions with a number of the company's subsidiaries. After two years as branch manager for First American Title Insurance Co.'s Santa Clara office, he was appointed Northern California regional sales manager for First American Real Estate Information Services Inc.

In 2000, he was promoted to vice president, national sales manager for First American Title's National Lenders Advantage Division.

Walnut Creek-PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. appointed Jesse Rivera to vice president of marketing and primary products.

Mr. Rivera will oversee primary product development for traditional and expanding markets, strategic marketing and marketing for PMI's primary U.S. subsidiary.

He had been vice president of business intelligence and analytics.

PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. also promoted Eric Pearson to assistant vice president of software development and enterprise architecture.

Mr. Pearson is responsible for the strategic development and tactical delivery of PMI Mortgage Insurance Co.'s internal applications.

He joined PMI in 2004 as the director of enterprise architecture, where he was instrumental in establishing PMI's enterprise architecture practice.

MINNESOTA

Minneapolis-Old Republic Title Insurance Group said Michael Tarpey has been promoted to vice president and treasurer of Old Republic National Title Insurance Co.

Mr. Tarpey joined Old Republic International's finance department in 1993 and transferred to Old Republic National Title Insurance Co. in 1998.

Since then he has served in a variety accounting positions, most recently as vice president, claims and financial analysis.

NEW JERSEY

Ewing-Cenlar FSB has appointed Paul Lebas to the office of treasurer.

His responsibilities include the development and implementation of Cenlar's investment and funding strategies.

Mr. Lebas joined Cenlar in 1987, after serving as a supervision and regulation analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He also was an asset/liabilities manager at Advanta Corp. in Horsham, Pa.

Mount Laurel-PHH Mortgage promoted Robert H. Tort to director, private label sales. Prior to joining PHH Mortgage, Mr. Tort was with CUNA Mutual Mortgage for seven years and held a variety of sales and management positions, most recently as regional sales manager.

He joined PHH Mortgage with the purchase of CUNA Mutual Mortgage assets in October 2005.

OHIO

Cleveland-National City Corp. said that Joe Cartellone has been named president and chief operating officer of National City Mortgage.

Mr. Cartellone replaces Rick Smalldon, who has decided to step down from his current position to relocate to Arizona and assume a part-time role at the end of 2007.

Mr. Cartellone has more than 26 years of experience in mortgage banking and consumer lending and most recently was senior vice president and national sales manager of National City Home Equity.

Prior to joining National City Home Equity in 2000, he held various positions at Chase Manhattan Mortgage.

TEXAS

Dallas-First American National Claims Outsourcing has named Vikki A. Roby senior vice president and manager.

In her new position, Ms. Roby will oversee and manage post-foreclosure claim filings for all loan types including FHA, VA, subprime and conventional, and mortgage insurance for National Claims Outsourcing clients.

She brings more than 15 years of default management experience to her new position, most recently serving as vice president and credit sensitive asset channel manager with Homecomings Financial and as vice president of default administration with CitiMortgage Inc.

Dallas-First American Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. said that Raymond G. Abide Jr. has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer.

In his new position, Mr. Abide will be responsible for planning and overseeing the operational management of First American's commercial lending and real estate clients.

He joined First American in 1996 and most recently served as senior vice president of information technology with the company's Corporate Information Technology Group.

Fort Worth-Rapid Reporting said that Andrew Deignan joined the company as vice president of operations.

In this position, Mr. Deignan will concentrate on implementing new business initiatives as well as working with customers and existing employees to improve processing services and enhance customer fulfillment.

Prior to joining Rapid Reporting, he was the production manager at CellStar and COO and vice president of operations of 4G, an entertainment marketing company.

Houston-Encomia has named Brian Davenport its senior vice president of sales.

Mr. Davenport brings more than 17 years of experience in sales, management and information technology to Encomia.

Prior to joining the Encomia's sales team, he served as vice president of National Accounts for Jacksonville, Fla.-based Fidelity Information Services and also served as senior vice president and chief information officer for Stewart Title Co. in Houston.

Richardson-Caren Wagner has joined Countrywide Subservicing as vice president, business development.

She has been with Countrywide Home Loans for nine years, previously working for Countrywide's LandSafe division as an operations account manager.
