School of Servicing Set For August

CampusMBA, the educational wing of the Mortgage Bankers Association, has scheduled a new classroom-based course for single-family mortgage servicing professionals.

The program is scheduled for Aug. 14-16 in Jacksonville, Fla. CampusMBA said the school will focus on a review of mortgage servicing functions and the potential risks of not applying appropriate processes.

Topics will include loan and default administration, financial controls and investor administration. The school will also explore the establishment of strategy and address risk management.

The program includes breakout sessions, case studies and other exercises to provide practical experience and solidify concepts relating to customer service, escrow, special loans, reversals, payoffs, vendor management, bankruptcy and loss mitigation, CampusMBA said.

Successful participation in the course counts toward the CampusMBA Certified Mortgage Servicer designation. The cost for those who register by June 30 is $1,215 for MBA members and $1,823 for nonmembers. The prices rise to $1,350 and $2,025, respectively, after June 30.
