Little Rock-Wilson & Associates PLLC has named Elizabeth Moseley as new default attorney in its Little Rock office.

Ms. Moseley was admitted to the bar of the state of Arkansas in 2006 and is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association.

Her primary area of practice is foreclosure.

Wilson & Associates also named Matthew Tuck as a new associate attorney in its Knoxville, Tenn., office.

Mr. Tuck was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2007.

His primary area of practice is bankruptcy law, focusing on debtor/creditor issues, including representation of mortgage lenders and financial institutions.


Los Angeles-Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP said that Stuart A. Graiwer has joined the firm's real estate practice group as an associate.

Mr. Graiwer joins Stroock from Pircher, Nichols & Meeks where he was a real estate associate, and his practice includes representing investors in a wide array of transactions across real estate classes including acquisitions and dispositions, complex joint venture, and partnership agreements and financings.

From 2000-2004, he practiced at Covington & Burling in New York and is licensed to practice in California and New York.

Walnut Creek-PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., the U.S. subsidiary of the PMI Group Inc., promoted Don Klein to regional vice president of the Southeast region.

Mr. Klein is responsible for the continued development and growth of PMI Mortgage Insurance Co.'s operations in the Southeastern region of the United States.

He has been with PMI U.S. 16 years and served most recently as the director of national account servicing.


Washington-The Mortgage Bankers Association appointed Jan Sternin as senior vice president of commercial/multifamily.

Ms. Sternin previously served as senior vice president of Midland Loan Services Inc. and has over 25 years experience in banking, finance, real estate and loan servicing.

She has worked with numerous governmental agencies including the Resolution Trust Corp., Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Office of Thrift Supervision, Federal Home Loan Bank and Federal Savings and Loan Corp.


Chicago-Tammy Spriggs has joined LaSalle Bank NA as first vice president in the Global Securities and Trust Services Group and manager of the bank's Master Servicing division.

Ms. Spriggs brings 17 years of experience in the mortgage and securitization industry to her role at LaSalle Bank and most recently was director of Transaction Management at Alliance Bancorp.

Prior to that, she was first vice president in capital markets at Washington Mutual and lead the company's transactions management, contract finance, transaction data and due diligence departments.

Earlier in her carrier, she worked for PNC Mortgage and Sears Mortgage.


Lake Success-Monte N. Redman, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Astoria Financial Corp., the holding company for Astoria Federal Savings & Loan Association, has been named president and chief operating officer of the company.

Mr. Redman has been employed by Astoria Federal for more than 30 years.

Astoria also promoted Frank E. Fusco from senior vice president and treasurer to executive vice president, treasurer and CFO.

George L. Engelke Jr. will yield the title of president to Mr. Redman while retaining his titles as chairman and chief executive officer.

The company also reported that its board of directors has rescinded the mandatory retirement policy for executive officers, which had previously required the retirement of any executive reaching the age of 70.

New York-Mission Capital Advisors LLC said that Howard Freedman and Arvind Radhakrishna have joined the company as sales and trading analysts.

Both analysts will work out of Mission Capital's Manhattan office and focus on due diligence document management but their responsibilities will differ.

Mr. Freedman will be responsible for business development, trading and project management, while Mr. Radhakrishna will focus on data analysis, collateral review and interacting with investors.

Prior to joining Mission, Mr. Freedman worked at TIAA-CREF as a business analyst where he was responsible for stress testing new applications, financial database management and user support for several internal applications.

New York-GMAC Financial Services said that Alvaro G. de Molina has been named GMAC chief operating officer.

In this newly created role, Mr. de Molina will be responsible for GMAC's real estate finance and commercial finance businesses, and for all of GMAC's global finance and risk functions.

He will join the GMAC executive committee and will become a member of the boards of GMAC ResCap, GMAC Commercial Finance and GMAC Bank (subject to normal corporate and regulatory approvals).

New York-Proskauer Rose LLP said that Andrea Ascher has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office.

Ms. Ascher joins Proskauer from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and was also a member of the real estate department at Parker Chapin Flattau & Klimpl LLP.

The firm also recently welcomed Louis Eatman and Douglas Frank of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw to its Los Angeles office, as well as Eric Remensperger, who joined from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and heads Proskauer's West Coast real estate department, and Donald Liebman, a real estate tax attorney who joined the firm's New York office as senior counsel from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.

Uniondale-Arbor Commercial Mortgage appointed William Connolly to associate general counsel.

Mr. Connolly is responsible for negotiating and structuring multiple lender agreements for bridge, mezzanine financing and preferred equity transactions.

Prior to joining Arbor, he was an associate at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in New York and also held previous positions with Kaye Scholer LLP and Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf LLP.


Houston-Harold C. Hayes has been named senior vice president, region manager for Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and group president for Stewart Title Co.

Mr. Hayes has more than 25 years in the title industry, having served as senior underwriting counsel in four of the largest national title insurance companies.

He has been with Stewart for almost 15 years and had been serving as New Jersey/Pennsylvania agency services manager and senior underwriting counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Co.


Minneapolis-Donna E. Thompson has joined Old Republic Default Management Services as senior vice president of REO Management.

Ms. Thompson will administer REO portfolios and manage the valuation and sale of acquired properties.
