Irvine-Thompson National Properties said that Darryll Goodman has joined the company as senior vice president, asset management.
Previously, Mr. Goodman was senior vice president, asset management at Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors Inc., formerly Triple Net Properties.
Prior to this, he was vice president and operations manager at Hawaiian Asset Management Inc., and state director of operations at the International Council of Shopping Centers' Hawaii office.
Los Angeles-The University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate has named real estate economist Richard K. Green as director and Lusk chair in real estate.
Mr. Green has been director of the Center for Real Estate and Urban Studies at George Washington University in Washington since 2004.
The former economist with the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac) also was chair of real estate and urban land economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He has published widely on housing, tax policy, transportation, mortgage finance and urban development, and is past president of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association.

Washington-The Department of Housing and Urban Development said that Diane Johnson will replace Donald Babers as the recovery advisor and board chairperson for the Housing Authority of New Orleans effective May 21.
Ms. Johnson, a 30-year HUD veteran, will be introduced at the next scheduled HANO board meeting on May 21 and begin her official duties that day.
This will be the last board meeting for Mr. Babers, who was appointed to the position in April 2006. He will return fulltime to his responsibilities as the deputy regional director of HUD's regional office in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ms. Johnson, the director of HUD's field office in Newark, N.J., since 1993, will oversee practices and procedures of operations at HANO.
Karen Cato-Turner, the HUD-appointed executive administrator, will continue managing day-to-day operations.
Tampa-Mortgage Contracting Services has named Toni Diaz as vice president of vendor management and Carl Miller assistant vice president of the company's Dallas operations.
Both come to MCS with more than 20 years of combined experience in the financial services industry.
Before joining MCS, Ms. Diaz was vice president of mortgage banking for Tampa-based Florida Bank Group.
Prior to MCS, Mr. Miller was an assistant vice president at Countrywide.
St. Louis-The American Legal & Financial Network named Christina Danovsky as vice president, education and communication.
Ms. Danovsky joins the AFN executive team with 12 years experience in marketing, education and event management.
She comes to the AFN from her most recent position as director of marketing with Fidelity National Information Services.
AFN also named Matthew Bartel to the new position as chief operating officer.
Mr. Bartel will also continue to work with the various AFN educational and industry events, and oversee the various marketing, operation and administrative functions of the corporation.
He joined the AFN near its inception in 2002, and has over 10 years experience in marketing, event management, sales and operations management.
New York-Marathon Asset Management LLC hired Rudy Orman as vice president of business development for the Marathon Distressed Subprime Fund and as vice president of marketing for Marix Servicing LLC.
Mr. Orman will focus on purchasing distressed assets for the fund along with developing default servicing solutions with asset owners through Marix Servicing.
He was previously employed by Goldman Sachs as vice president in business development for the GSAMP mortgage conduit.
New York-Assured Guaranty Corp., a subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd., appointed Christopher Mortello to the position of managing director of structured finance surveillance overseeing the company's asset-backed securities and residential mortgage-backed securities portfolios.
Mr. Mortello, who previously spent over 10 years at Assured underwriting structured finance transactions, has returned to the company and he will now be focusing on portfolio surveillance, remediation and reporting for the structured finance portfolio.
He has over 18 years of experience in financial services, 14 of which were in asset securitization, and most recently was head of ABS at PMI Guaranty Co.
New York-Moody's Investors Service appointed Jonathan Polansky, currently group managing director of the asset finance group, to the newly created position of structured finance global surveillance coordinator.
Mr. Polansky served as an analyst in Moody's U.S. derivatives group from 1997 to 1999 and rejoined to manage CDO surveillance in 2003 following four years as co-head of the structured products group at Triton Partners LLC.
Prior to joining Moody's, he analyzed bank loan portfolios for Loan Pricing Corp., served as a vice president at the Yasuda Trust and Banking Co. and worked as a middle market lending officer for the Bank of New York.
