Matt Vernon, a 15-year veteran of the financial industry, has been named short sale and real estate-owned executive for Bank of America Home Loans, moving to the loan servicing division from roles in the bank's residential mortgage origination business.

Mr. Vernon's most recent position in new loan production was as enterprise sales executive, leading mortgage origination and cross-selling efforts.

Previously, he led the bank's consumer real estate retail sales channel.



The National Groups, the parent company of the National Default Servicing suite of mortgage service operations, said that Mitchell Oringer and Richard Fikani have joined the firm.

Mr. Oringer will assume the role of senior managing director, REO/loss mitigation operations for The National Groups.

He was most recently with Titleserv National Default in Austin, Texas, where he was senior vice president, loss mitigation services.

Mr. Oringer brings more than 20 years of experience in the REO and loss mitigation industry to The National Groups, including senior positions with IndyMac Federal Bank, GMAC Rescap, GMAC Mortgage Corp. and Clayton National Inc.

Mr. Fikani steps in to the new position of managing director, default services for The National Groups.

He comes to the firm from Titleserv National where he was vice president, director of operations.

Previously, Mr. Fikani was executive vice president, mortgage for Wachovia Corp. in Charlotte.


Clayton Holdings said that Raymond Redlingshafer has joined the company as senior managing director.

Mr. Redlingshafer brings more than 25 years of experience to Clayton Holdings including trading MBS and whole loans, managing a fixed-income institutional sales force and founding a mortgage REIT and taking the company public.

At Clayton he will focus on expanding Clayton's relationships with all secondary market participants and will focus on business development and promotion of Clayton's core products.


The Royal Bank of Scotland named Gregory Reiter managing director, agency residential security strategy and Jeana Curro vice president, agency MBS/CMOs.

Mr. Reiter will be responsible for developing investment strategies in the agency CMO and ARM product areas.

He joins RBS from The World Bank where he was a portfolio manager and prior to that was with UBS from 2005 until 2008 where he was responsible for agency CMO and ARM strategies.

Ms. Curro will also work on developing agency MBS strategies.

She was previously with UBS since 2004 where she was a director in fixed-income strategy and generated trade ideas through regularly published strategy notes.



Prommis Solutions appointed Michael Blair as senior vice president of operations, East Coast division.

Prior to Prommis Solutions, he was chief operating officer of servicing and client relations at Franklin Credit Holding Corp.

Other industry positions held by Mr. Blair include senior vice president of Key Bank, a regional bank specializing in corporate and personal banking services, and vice president of North American Mortgage.

Prommis Solutions also named Tina Jones as vice president of bankruptcy.

Prior to Prommis Solutions, Ms. Jones was foreclosure manager for Suntrust Mortgage Inc.

In addition, she served as director of foreclosure and bankruptcy for Greenpoint Mortgage, a division of Capital One financial group.



IndiSoft, a technology development firm that focuses on systems for the default services industry, hired Brian Friedman as senior vice president.

He will be responsible for business development, contract negotiations, investor relations and joint ventures.

Mr. Friedman brings more than 14 years of business and financial development experience to IndiSoft.



Christopher Kunkle was appointed director, securities lending and market risk, by the Risk Management Association.

Mr. Kunkle will coordinate the activities of RMA's securities lending committee and also will oversee RMA's market risk program and events. He replaces Curtis Knight, who is retiring, and who held that position since 1995.

A former member of RMA's securities lending executive committee, Mr. Kunkle has represented the securities lending industry with the Internal Revenue Service, Treasury Department, Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies in the U.S. and with Inland Revenue in the United Kingdom.

Before joining the Risk Management Association, he was managing director and senior vice president, Wachovia Global Securities Lending Group.



Stewart Lender Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Co., appointed Christine Conner to the position of senior vice president, national account manager.

Ms. Conner joins SLS from the First American Corp. where she had served as strategic accounts director.

She has also served in several marketing and sales management positions within the mortgage industry.

Stewart Lender Services also appointed Linda St. Clair to the position of vice president, strategic account manager.

Ms. St. Clair joins SLS from the First American Corp. where she had served as a vice president for Equity Loan Services.

She had also served in sales management positions for a Texas-based builder and JPMorgan Chase.


Robert Reeder has joined Stewart National Title Services as vice president, national business development, in Atlanta.

In this role, he will be responsible for the continued growth of Stewart's national commercial business, with a focus on expanding the company's services in the Southeastern region of the U.S.

Mr. Reeder most recently served as vice president, commercial sales and relationship manager for the national commercial services division of First American Title Insurance Co. in Atlanta.

He has 33 years of experience in the title industry and has specialized in commercial real estate since 1991.
