First American CoreLogic said that Susan Allen will now be responsible for AVM development and valuation strategies in her new position as vice president, strategic relationships.

Allen has more than 20 years of experience as a risk and operations executive, including managing collateral risk, appraisal operations, mortgage fraud, payment systems fraud and counterparty trading.

Prior to joining First American CoreLogic in 2009, she held senior risk positions at US Bank, GMAC ResCap and JPMorgan Chase (formerly Washington Mutual).

Mortgage Contracting Services named Steve Paton as senior vice president to be responsible for the oversight of Tampa operations and vendor management.

His management experience includes default servicing, loss mitigation, REO, call center and collections.

Paton most recently was senior vice president of loan administration at Marix Servicing. Prior to Marix, he spent time with Chase Home Finance as senior vice president of default loan servicing.

GoldenTree InSite Partners said that Steven Gorey has joined the company in the capacity of managing director and chief operating officer.

Prior to joining GoldenTree InSite Partners, Gorey had a 15-year career with Lehman Brothers, most recently serving as senior vice president in the firm's principal transaction group.

Previously, he worked for Citigroup as vice president in the firm's consumer assets division.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. said that Steve Abrahams has joined as a managing director and head of securitization and mortgage-backed securities research within the firm's global markets division.

Abrahams joins Deutsche Bank with almost 20 years of securitization research and portfolio management experience, and was most recently the founder and a managing director at Citadel Capital Advisors.

Before that, he was the global head of liquid product strategy at Bear Stearns, and also a credit portfolio manager at Freddie Mac and a senior analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler hired Gary Newman as a director in the debt placement group in its New York office.

Newman will focus on originating debt and structured finance transactions throughout the Northeastern United States.

Prior to joining HFF, he served as a director at Hypo Real Estate in New York where he originated fixed-rate CMBS loans as well as portfolio loans for the bank's balance sheet.

Prior to joining Hypo Real Estate, he helped launch Barclays Capital's commercial real estate platform.

Cohen & Co. Securities named David Clifford as a managing director and national sales manager for fixed income.

He will be based at the firm's New York office and will be responsible for managing sales coverage in the U.S. for all fixed-income products including mortgage- and asset-backed securities, corporate bonds and leveraged finance.

He has over 20 years of experience in sales, trading and management in the fixed-income area and most recently ran the New York office of Stone and Youngberg.

Prior to that, Clifford held sales and sales management positions at Barclays, Bank of America and Prudential Securities.

Safeguard Properties promoted Kellie Chambers to director, property preservation operations; Kathy Cogan to director, REO client account management; Palmer DePetro to director, REO regional coordinators and customer service; Jennifer Jozity to director, inspections department; Amy Nauer to director, REO operations; and Nancy Runyon to director, vendor management.

Chambers joined Safeguard in 2001, and previously held the position of manager, property preservation operations.

Cogan was promoted from manager, REO client account management and joined Safeguard in 2003.

DePetro joined Safeguard in 2009 as manager, regional coordinators.

Jozity was promoted from manager, inspections department and joined Safeguard in 1997.

Nauer joined Safeguard in 1998 and previously held the position of manager, REO operations.

Runyon was promoted from manager, vendor management and has been with Safeguard since 2000.

Radian Group Inc. appointed Robert Griffith as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Radian Guaranty Inc., its principal mortgage insurance subsidiary.

In this position, Griffith will lead the company's operations, loss management and information technology functions.

He has more than 20 years of experience in mortgage banking and most recently served as senior vice president for Bank of America.

Prior to that, Griffith was president and chief executive officer for Irwin Mortgage Corp.

TEXAS

HOUSTON

Stewart Specialty Insurance Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Co., appointed Tom Carpentier to the position of division president.

Carpentier joins Stewart Specialty Insurance Services from American National Insurance Co. where he served as vice president of special markets for the credit insurance division in League City, Texas.

He has 14 years of sales and operations management experience in the insurance and financial services industry.

IRVING

Saxon Mortgage Services Inc. appointed Stephen Staid as executive vice president of customer relationship management.

In this role, Staid will be responsible for the all aspects of customer relationship including financial transaction management, early stage delinquency, modification fulfillment and command center.

He also will serve as a member of the Saxon executive committee.

The company also appointed John P. Kim to lead business development.

In this role, Kim will focus on business development with third-party customers, promoting Saxon's services and serving as relationship manager to banks, hedge funds, asset managers and the government- sponsored enterprises.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in residential loan products, capital market analysis and execution for financial institutions including Bank of America and the California Federal Bank.
