Los Angeles-Richard Hart and Kevin Wieland have joined Legg Mason Real Estate Investors Inc. as principals in the firm's Los Angeles office. Messrs. Hart and Wieland will be responsible for originating new investments for the company.
Mr. Hart was previously a principal at Prudential, responsible for originating, closing, and managing bridge and mezzanine real estate loans.
Mr. Wieland was a director of investment analysis for CIM Group, where he was responsible for acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate.
Walnut Creek-The PMI Group Inc. has named Tom Jeter assistant vice president and assistant controller.
Mr. Jeter will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting for PMI, specifically consolidating financial information from each business segment, SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and overseeing the accounts payable function.
Mr. Jeter joins PMI from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was senior manager, financial services division. In addition to his public accounting experience he worked for two years at Provident Funding.
Denver-AssetOne Marketing Group LLC has announced the promotion of Beth Lile to vice president, senior asset manager and the appointment of Cory Blythe as IT Director.
Ms. Lile has been with AssetOne since its inception and has over 11 years experience in the REO industry. Prior to entering the REO arena, Ms. Lile spent nine additional years working in the related field of corporate relocation.
Mr. Blythe has over 10 years experience in systems technology and will be responsible for all systems, programming, database and website development for the company.

Mr. Smith was a founder in 1978 of Newman & Associates Inc., which is now known as GMAC Commercial Holding Capital Markets.
West Palm Beach-Beanstalk Networks, a mortgage technology solutions provider, announced that it has named Michael Bethea to the newly created position of corporate documentation administrator.
Mr. Bethea will be responsible for the assembly of required data and knowledge for all OpenClose documentation, collecting needs and requirements from users, establishing internal process for formatting, production, and delivery of work product, and creating user/training manuals.
Mr. Bethea has provided technical support and developed customer and corporate documentation for such companies as America Online, Microsoft Network, and MCI.
Chicago-RBC Mortgage Co. announced that Linda J. Johnson has been named the national wholesale operations manager.
Ms. Johnson is responsible for managing RBC Mortgage's national wholesale operations, including the underwriting and closing functions, the lock desk, accounting, quality assurance and compliance, among other responsibilities.
Ms. Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining RBC Mortgage, she was vice president and Midwest wholesale regional operations manager for SunTrust Mortgage. She also has held senior- level positions at PNC Mortgage and Homeland Mortgage.
Cleveland-Charter One Financial Inc. announced that Christopher Aldridge has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president and department manager of corporate community development banking and investments. He will oversee all of Charter One's corporate community development and activities as they relate to the Community Reinvestment Act.
Mr. Aldridge joins Charter One from Fifth Third Bancorp where he was the director of corporate community reinvestment. Prior to joining Fifth Third in 2000, he was an analyst at Shearson Lehman Bros. in New York. He also served as vice president of both Ford Life Insurance Company and American General.
Portland-Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Robert G. Rosen as president of the company and will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors.
Mr. Rosen had previously been executive vice president of the company since October 1999 and is currently the president of Fog Cutter Capital Markets Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, investing in mortgage-backed securities. Prior to joining the company, he was senior vice president of asset securitization and capital markets for Wilshire Financial Services Group Inc.
Philadelphia-Radian Guaranty Inc. announced that Doris Mitchell has joined the company as vice president, operations. In this position, Ms. Mitchell will manage Radian's client services, drive enhancements in processes, develop technical requirements for business systems and web initiatives, and build and maintain relationships with Radian's business partners.
Ms. Mitchell, who has more than 28 years of experience in the financial services industry, joins the company from Illinois-based Caremark Inc., where she served five years as director, client support and business planning. Prior to that, she served as assistant vice president, communications and policy/procedures manager for Citicorp Data Services Center Inc.
