Law Firm Helps War Participants
Wilson & Associates, a law firm representing creditors in foreclosure cases in Arkansas and Tennessee, said it will grant relief on a case-by-case basis for borrowers directly affected by Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Robert Wilson, chairman of the firm's executive committee, said that effective April 1 until 90 days after the cessation of hostilities, the firm will offer to waive fees and costs incurred during the foreclosure process in order to help qualified borrowers reinstate their loans.
Factors to be considered in qualification include active involvement by a borrower in the war, members of the military who have been captured, wounded, are missing or killed in action, or in support roles.
Family members who are in foreclosure with the firm in Arkansas or Tennessee may seek "Soldiers and Sailors" relief from the firm.
