MoneyGram Markets EBP in Asia

MoneyGram Payment Systems here has introduced a new pricing model for money transfers sent from the U.S. to countries served in Asia.

The company said the pricing is a "simple, value pricing" to facilitate money transfers from the U.S. and Canada to India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Tony Ryan, vice president and general manager for MoneyGram, said, "Value pricing, in addition to our service reputation, attracts customers to the MoneyGram service in these important, emerging money transfer markets."

MoneyGram is a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Travelers Express Co., which in turn is a subsidiary of Viad Corp.

The company also runs the MoneyGram ExpressPayment service, which allows consumers to get guaranteed same-day delivery of funds for mortgage, auto, credit card and other bills.
