MICA Publishes New MI Fact Book

The Mortgage Insurance Companies of America has published an updated version of its annual fact book.

MICA's 2003-2004 Fact Book and Membership Directory provides a comprehensive overview of the private mortgage insurance industry, including key statistics and industry contacts.

The 48-page publication explains what mortgage insurance is and how it works to expand homeownership opportunities. It also outlines the industry's history, financial performance and outlook for growth.

The book reflects the theme of the organization's consumer awareness campaign, "PrivateMI. Today. Not Someday." The slogan refers to the advantages enjoyed by homebuyers using PrivateMI to become homeowners sooner and for less money down.

MICA is a trade association representing companies in the private mortgage insurance business. Its members help loan originators and investors make funds available to homebuyers for low downpayment mortgages by protecting these institutions from a major portion of the financial risk of default.
