Berry Joins Weltman As Foreclosure Exec

The creditors' rights law firm of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis here has named Carol Berry as a corporate foreclosure manager.

The law firm says the appointment represents continued growth for the firm, which is ranked as the largest creditors' rights law firm in the country based on revenue and placements according to Collections & Credit Risk magazine.

The firm said Ms. Berry comes to WWR with an extensive background in all aspects of the mortgage servicing business.

Larry Rothenberg, a partner in the firm's foreclosure practice group, said that having a corporate foreclosure manager "will enhance departmental efficiencies and training programs for the entire practice group in our six-state area, in order to further strengthen the firm's commitment to providing excellent customer service."

Ms. Berry will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the foreclosure, eviction, title and REO closing operations at the firm's locations, which cover Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Ms. Berry has over 18 years of experience in mortgage banking, and has a background of working with mortgage default, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation and REO efforts. She has held managerial positions in default areas for Bank One Mortgage, Provident Consumer Financial Services, and Branch Banking and Trust Company. Most recently, she served as FHA claims manager at Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp.
