Do Not Call List Back on Track
A Federal Appeals Court lifted a stay on enforcement of the do-not-call rule last week and the Federal Trade Commission said last week that it is ready to go after telemarketers who violate the rule.
"Along with the Federal Communications Commission and our partners in every single state, we are ready to bring enforcement actions against those telemarketers who illegally keep the phones ringing against the consumers' wishes," FTC chairman Timothy Muris said at a press conference.
"I assure you for the FTC, this is our top enforcement priority," he added.
