Assurant Launches New Brand Identity
Assurant Inc., formerly Fortris Inc., has launched a national advertising campaign to promote its new name and brand identity.
The provider of specialized insurance and insurance-related products changed its name in connection with its initial
public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in early February. The firm had operated as an independent arm of Fortris Insurance for 25 years.
"Our successful initial public offering marks a new beginning for Assurant," said Kerry Clayton, president and CEO. "Our name and logo may have changed, but our strategy and values have not. We continue to remain focused on being a premier provider of specialized insurance products and services."
The company has also unveiled a new logo that represents the integration of three core capabilities the company provides: risk management enterprise, customized technology and long-term client partnerships, the company said.
The Assurant business units provide creditor-placed homeowners insurance, manufactured housing homeowners insurance, debt protection administration, credit insurance, warranties and extended service contracts. The parent company also has other units involved in health, dental, disability, life and funeral insurance.
