Roundup: Ukranians Visit Default Conference in the U.S.
USFN, a not-for-profit association of attorneys, trustee companies and associates that provide default services to the mortgage banking industry, welcomed two Ukranian executives to the group's recent default servicing seminar and technology forum in San Antonio.
The visit by Valeriy Volkov and Oleksandra Yevstafyeva was hosted by USFN member and speaker Walter Conlon from Metcalf, Conlon & Siering, Muscatine, Iowa. The visit was also sponsored by the Special American Business Internship Training Program, which provides grants to facilitate public-private partnerships with Eurasia.
SABIT provides funds to cover a share of the cost of hosing mid- to senior-level Eurasian managers and scientists for three to six months of hands-on professional training in U.S. business practices.
More than 500 lenders, servicers and USFN members attended the national default servicing seminar, which included 33 new and updated educational sessions covering issues from bankruptcy and foreclosure to the latest software and technology.
Also at the conference, USFN honored longtime Department of Housing and Urban Development executive Leslie Bromer with the association's first Mortgage Servicing Leadership Award.
Session panelists included attorneys, servicers, representatives from the government-sponsored enterprises, technology suppliers and other industry experts.
