USFN Adds New Members
Five new firms have joined USFN as members and five additional firms have joined as associate members in 2005, the organization said.
The five new member firms are Bishop, White & Marshall PS, Seattle; Halliday & Watkins PC, Salt Lake City; Northwest Trustee Services, Bellevue, Wash.; Petosa, Petosa & Boecker LLP, Des Moines; and Steven J. Baum PC, Buffalo, N.Y.
The new associate members are Eagle Vision Communications, First Preston Management, National Field Represen-tatives, RealtyBid International and Walz Postal Solutions.
Brian Spero, president of USFN, said the USFN welcomes the new members to the network.
"USFN has built an unmatched reputation for providing the mortgage industry with comprehensive default services," he said. "The five new members share our commitment to providing the industry with competent, professional and ethical representation."
He said the associate members are recognized leaders in bringing important and necessary services and products to the mortgage banking industry.
Separately, USFN said it is redirecting $15,000 from its 2006 organizational budget to the Habitat for Humanity Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
As a result, USFN will not be hosting its traditional event at the 2006 MBA Servicing Conference in Phoenix. Rather, those dollars are being donated to help families on the Gulf Coast rebuild their homes.
"In times such as these, organizations like USFN must turn to their core values for guidance and direction," said Brian Spero, president of the USFN. "Instead of buying drinks, we will be buying shingles. Instead of ordering fancy food, we will be buying lumber. Instead of paying for wait staff, we will be helping people rebuild their homes."
Mr. Spero said the response from the servicing community and the USFN network members has been overwhelmingly positive.
