Roundup: FLDI Integrates Title, Recording Firms

First Lenders Data Inc., a provider of technology, data and bundled services to the mortgage industry, has unveiled new integrations with U.S. Recordings and American Title.

U.S. Recordings, based in St. Paul, Minn., is a nationwide specialist in document recording services. American Title Inc., is a provider of title reports, title insurance and closing services for the real estate industry.

The alliance combines the resources of three national specialists in their respected fields, FLDI said in a news release.

U.S. Recordings traditional document recording services, coupled with the firm's InteleDoc Plus e-recording platform, is now available to lending institutions through FLDI's FirstClose bundled mortgage servicing platform. American Title's services are also available on the platform.

"The variety of services offered through this alliance helps to simplify the way lenders close loans, and can change the way they do business with technology vendors," said Jeff Carlson, CEO of U.S. Recordings. "The capabilities of all three companies involved with the alliance complement each other and help to seamlessly integrate each others' technology solutions."

Tedd Smith, CEO of American Title, said the alliance uses a single bundled services vendor to link lenders with a wide variety of vendors in strategic areas of the settlement services process.

"The options available through this alliance can lower the costs on traditional mortgages as well as home equity loans, speed up closing and recording times, and provide easier invoicing through disbursements to vendors," he said.
