Los Angeles-Johnson Capital has promoted James Magowan to the position of director in the Los Angeles office.

Mr. Magowan has been an analyst with the equity group of the company since March 2001.

Prior to his affiliation with Johnson Capital, he was a principal at real estate developer LuxCore LLC, in partnership with Zurich-based Kistler AG. He has also provided project management services for multinational corporations.

Newport Beach-Escrowdesk has named Nicole Castle as senior information technology developer and Raymond Tam as software engineer.

In her role as denior IT developer, Ms. Castle assumes responsibility for the project management of Escrowdesk's hardware and networking architecture, network design and administration.

Ms. Castle has previously provided database development and project management for Orange Coast Title and was IT manager for Southport Business Park.

Mr. Tam joined Escrowdesk as a software engineer intern in April 2004.

Santa Ana-First American Title Insurance Co. said that James J. Dufficy has been appointed as director of the company's Lenders Advantage Division. He also serves as senior vice president and regulatory counsel for the corporation.

Mr. Dufficy's tenure with First American began in 1994 when he was named regional claims counsel for First American Title's Phoenix operations.

His background prior to joining First American includes four years as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

San Jose-LoanCity said that John A. Cardamone has joined the company as senior vice president, chief credit officer.

He has over 20 years of management experience in the financial services industry.

Mr. Cardamone was a former senior vice president of global risk management at GE Mortgage Insurance. He later joined HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. as chief credit officer.


Washington-NCB FSB, a subsidiary of National Cooperative Bank, has promoted Eva Martinez to assistant vice president of the loan support team at NCB's Washington headquarters.

She began her career with NCB in 1996 as an administrative assistant with NCB Development Corp., NCB's nonprofit affiliate, and later became an office manager for NCB's Oakland, Calif., office.

Ms. Martinez came to NCB from Shell Chemical Co. in Houston.


Idaho Falls-DocuTech Corp. has appointed Lance Reese as the company's chief operating officer.

Mr. Reese brings more than 20 years of business expertise to the DocuTech team.

Prior to joining DocuTech, he served as chief information officer for more than a decade at Idaho Falls-based RS&I Inc.


Omaha-GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corp. has appointed John T. Reed as vice president.

Mr. Reed is responsible for originating commercial real estate loans in the Omaha area.

Prior to joining GMACCM, he was vice president and production manager at AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance LLC. His previous experience includes serving as a relationship manager and a credit analyst for Wells Fargo Bank.


Edison-HanoverTrade Inc. has promoted Anne T. Akers to senior vice president and sales manager of HanoverTrade's Loan Sales Advisory Group.

Ms. Akers gained 10 years experience with Pamex Capital Partners LLC (formerly Principal Asset Markets Inc.) prior to its merger with HanoverTrade in January 2001.

Most recently, she worked as vice president and senior transaction manager for HanoverTrade.


New York-GE Commercial Financial Services Real Estate has made three appointments to the Strategic Capital Group.

Mark Hall, based in Washington, was promoted to regional director. Mike Pedone, based in Irvine, Calif., and Dana Valenti, based in New York, were promoted to directors reporting to Mr. Hall.

Mr. Hall joined GE in 1997 as a managing director of sales before moving into a senior relationship manager role.

Mr. Pedone joined GE in 1999 as an associate deal leader and then took on the position of a senior underwriter with the North America Debt Group.

Ms. Valenti joined GE in 2000 as a project manager with risk and has also served as an underwriter in the risk group.


Charlotte-Decision One Mortgage said that Edward Powell has been named director of marketing and business development.

Mr. Powell comes to Decision One from LendingTree.com. He was previously employed with Navarro Lowrey and Morgan Stanley.

He will be responsible for the overall management of the marketing department including communications to the sales field, product and pricing promotions, event coordination, and public relations.


Portland-Lime Financial Services said that Mary Brown has been promoted to senior vice president and named director of operations.

Ms. Brown previously served as vice president/director of credit.

She will assume responsibility for Lime's two Oregon-based operations teams and the operations team in Chantilly, Va.


Horsham-GMAC Mortgage Corp. said that Tom Donatacci has returned to its senior management team.

An executive with the company's capital markets operation in the late 1990s,

Mr. Donatacci rejoins as senior vice president in the business development group.

Prior to his first position with the company, he served for a decade as an executive with PaineWebber and most recently headed the mortgage servicing transactions business at Lehman Brothers/Cohane Rafferty.


Houston-Steve Wise has joined Stewart Mortgage Information as vice president of national sales for its e-title operation.

Mr. Wise is a 12-year industry veteran, having most recently served as national account manager for Credit Lenders Service Agency, a regional provider of real estate information.
