Colony American Homes Names President of Single-Family Lending Division

Colony American Homes has appointed Beth O'Brien as president of its single-family lending unit.

O'Brien joins the company from online real estate auction firm Auction.com, where she most recently served as executive vice president and managing director. Her responsibilities in that role included managing the firm's residential capital markets division and leading pooled loan sales, financings and originations across single- and multi-family sectors. O'Brien has also worked at Citigroup Global Markets and Goldman Sachs.

O'Brien's "experience, track record and accomplishments will be a critical addition to our team as we continue our growth and enhance our leadership in the single family homes rental industry," Colony chief executive Justin Chang said in a Monday press release.

Colony owns and manages over 15,000 rental homes in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Texas. It was founded in 2012 by real estate investment firm Colony Capital.
