Connected Investors has created a new centralized real estate investment funding portal that the Wilmington, N.C.-based company believes will simplify deals and relationships.
Would-be borrowers can access the portal, called Connected Investors eXchange or CiX.com, online or through an app. Users answer questions about their needs, and then a funding request is sent to lenders who match with them.
"Asset-based lenders such as hedge funds, hard-money companies, private lenders and real estate crowdfunding portals are clamoring to put capital into real estate," Ross Hamilton, Connected Investors' chief executive and founder, noted in a Sept. 16 news release. "However, they need the deals and the borrowers to put that capital to work. This is where CiX.com proves to be an invaluable tool."
Connector Investors noted in the release that it has attracted the support of LendingTree founder and chief executive Doug Lebda. Hamilton also said that the company's lender partners have come with "plenty of capital."
"As an early advisor and investor in the company, I have been thrilled to watch Connected Investors' progress and success," Lebda said in the release. "The CI team has done a great job fulfilling the needs of real estate investors, and connecting these investors to alternative financing is their next logical step.
