LERETA LLC, a provider of real estate tax and flood services for mortgage servicers nationwide, has promoted Susan Portnoy to senior vice president of enterprise operations.

Portnoy, who brings 32 years of industry experience to the company, began her career with LERETA in 2002 and has also served with Citi Mortgage and Transamerica Real Estate Tax Service.

LoanScorecard said that Raj Parekh has joined the company as digital mortgage strategist.

Parekh, who brings more than 20 years of industry experience to LoanScorecard, formerly served as vice president of business development at Insellerate.

He previously held executive positions at lead acquisition technology providers LeadPoint and ActiveProspect.

Guaranteed Rate has hired Melinda McCaslin as branch manager and vice president of mortgage lending in Boise.

McCaslin, who brings 15 years of industry experience to the firm, formerly worked for Guild Mortgage, a mortgage lender in Boise.

NewDay USA said that David Loeser has been appointed vice chairman to the company's board of advisors and will be serving as executive vice president of human resources.

Most recently, Loeser was senior vice president human resources at Unisys, a global information technology provider.

Prior to Unisys, he served in executive roles for Hostess Brands, Continental Airlines and PepsiCo.

Home Point Financial Corp. has added Joe Griffin and Lynn Collins as correspondent institutions managers.

Griffin has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, and joins Home Point from First Community Mortgage, where he directed the correspondent channel.

Collins joins the Home Point team from LenderLive Network and has more than 10 years of experience in correspondent lending, with previously held positions at Stonegate Mortgage and US Bank Home Mortgage.

Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson LLP said that Neil Garfinkel, the firm's managing partner and the partner in charge of its real estate and banking practices, has been appointed to the New York State Real Estate Board by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The term is for two years.

Garfinkel serves as broker counsel to the Real Estate Board of New York, where he hosts the REBNY Legal Line and authors the REBNY Question of the Week.

Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson also said that the firm, and specifically, Michael Barone, the managing partner of its mortgage compliance practice, have been named counsel to the New York Association of Mortgage Brokers.

The firm already serves as counsel to the Empire State Mortgage Banking Association.

Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc., the parent company for the Mr. Cooper brand, said that Francis Lobo has joined the company as executive vice president, chief business and product officer and president of Cooper Labs.

Prior to joining the company, Lobo was the chief revenue officer for WeWork where he managed revenue, sales, performance marketing and data for the organization.

Prior to that, he was the CEO of United Online Inc., a provider of consumer-internet products and services.
