AmeriFirst Home Mortgage, a division of AmeriFirst Financial Corp., has hired Doug Long to serve as Southeast divisional president.

Charged with advancing AmeriFirst's penetration of the Florida market, Long will work from the independent community mortgage lender's office in Winter Park, Fla.

Prior to joining AmeriFirst, he served as executive vice president for HomeBridge Financial Services where he oversaw branch operations after HomeBridge acquired certain assets of Prospect Mortgage.

MOUNT LAUREL

PHH Corp. said that Madeline Flanagan will succeed William Brown as senior vice president and general counsel, effective Jan. 1, 2018.

Flanagan has served as senior vice president and general counsel of PHH Mortgage, the company's mortgage subsidiary, since 2012.

The company also said that Ryan Melcher, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary of PHH Corp., will assume the role of corporate secretary currently held by Brown.

Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp. said that its board of directors has appointed Jamie Henderson, the company's president and chief investment officer, as chief executive officer.

The company's interim co-chief executive officer, Robert Rosen, will continue to serve as chairman of ACRE's board, and co-chief executive officer, John Jardine, has been named vice chairman and head of national accounts for real estate debt within Ares Management's real estate group.

Hunt Mortgage Group said that Suzanne Cope has rejoined the firm's affordable housing/FHA group as senior vice president.

She will be focused on originating and closing affordable and FHA multifamily loans nationwide, with a primary focus on the Colorado area.

Prior to returning to Hunt Mortgage Group, Cope was a senior vice president in the affordable multifamily division of Bellwether Enterprise.

Movement Mortgage has hired former IBM and Accenture executive Henry Santos as its new chief information officer.

Most recently, Santos led IBM's Global Mortgage Business Services unit.

Previously, he was a partner at The Capital Markets Co. and a managing director at Accenture Credit Services, where he led the housing finance technical services division.

PrimeLending, a PlainsCapital company, has promoted Uly Kim to senior vice president and regional manager of the Southern California and Hawaii region.

In his new role, Kim is responsible for all production activities in Southern California and Hawaii, including 26 branches and more than 150 loan originators and local support staff.

He is a 21-year veteran of the mortgage industry in Southern California and joined PrimeLending in 2010 as the branch manager for Irvine Spectrum, and was quickly promoted to area manager for Orange County, San Diego County and Hawaii.

Kim formerly held a board position and is currently an active member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America of Orange County.

BSI Financial Services has appointed Scott A. Johnson as senior vice president, corporate controller.

Johnson's experience in financial services spans two decades and he began his career with Ocwen Financial.

In 2005, he joined Litton Loan Servicing, a division of Goldman Sachs, to manage financial forecasting and MSR valuations.

In 2011, Johnson joined Nationstar Mortgage as a vice president, and held positions in servicing finance, accounting and corporate finance.
