Cardinal Bank Appoints New EVP of Real Estate Lending

Cardinal Bank has a new executive vice president of real estate lending.

The $3.2 billion-asset Cardinal in Tysons Corner, Va., promoted Andrew Peden to this position where he will oversee the relationships of developers and real estate investors, with a primary focus on acquisition, construction financing and commercial development.

Peden has more than 14 years of real estate lending experience. Since 2011, Peden was a market executive at Cardinal where he led the business development efforts of a team of lenders and business development officers.

As an executive vice president, Peden becomes a voting member of Cardinal's officer's loan committee.

Dennis Griffith, executive vice president and chief lending officer at Cardinal, called Peden a "valuable asset" because of his ties to the local community.

"Griffith's lending experience, knowledge of the region's real estate market, and impressive business acumen, will continue to bring great value to our organization," Griffith said in a Wednesday press release.
