Auction.com named former Yahoo Inc. CFO and interim CEO Tim Morse as the company's CEO.

Current CEO and co-founder Jeff Frieden will remain fully engaged with the company as executive chairman.

Morse joined Auction.com in May of last year, and has served as its chief financial officer.

In addition to his positions at Yahoo, Morse was previously a member of the board of directors of Alibaba Group, CFO at online advertising start-up Adap.tv, which was acquired by AOL Inc., CFO at Altera Corp., and CFO and general manager of business development for GE Plastics.

FLORIDA

Hamilton Group Funding promoted Tammy Scott to the position of vice president, chief compliance officer.

Scott has more than 18 years of experience in the mortgage industry and previously served Hamilton Group as a compliance officer.

Prior to joining Hamilton, she served at Circle Mortgage as its compliance analyst and earlier as its quality control auditor.

Scott formerly held the position of secondary market manager for First NLC Financial Services.

MARYLAND

FREDERICK

Aspen Grove Solutions promoted Ron Briggs to the position of senior vice president of business development.

He joined AGS earlier this year, bringing 25 years of experience from the real estate industry, specifically the mortgage servicing and default space.

As the head of AGS business development, Briggs becomes a member of the senior leadership team.

OKLAHOMA

Gateway Mortgage Group named Gary Nachman as the new regional vice president serving Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Nachman brings to Gateway nearly 40 years of residential mortgage experience.

He most recently served as the senior vice president of mortgage lending for United Republic Bank, where he was responsible for all mortgage lending.

TEXAS

ADDISON

Mid America Mortgage hired former Fannie Mae underwriting consultant David Tracy as national underwriting manager.

A 20-plus-year residential and commercial mortgage veteran, Tracy will be responsible for revitalizing Mid America’s underwriting operations nationwide.

He has also served as an underwriter for Bank of America and has filled mortgage operational roles for several Texas-based lenders, including CTX Mortgage, Capital Co. of America and Nationsbanc Mortgage Corp.

VIRGINIA

MCLEAN

Freddie Mac said that Sean Becketti is joining the company as vice president and chief economist.

As chief economist, he will lead a team that forecasts mortgage and housing market trends and conducts analysis and research on economic and policy issues affecting Freddie Mac.

Becketti comes to Freddie Mac from Flagstar Bank, where he was senior vice president and head of modeling and analytics.

Earlier, he headed up Fannie Mae's applied research function where he led a 70-person team of modelers, analysts and developers.

His experience also includes senior executive roles with Washington Mutual and Wells Fargo in which he led research functions focused on mortgage markets and capital markets.

WISCONSIN

BROOKFIELD

Inlanta Mortgage promoted Gary Grocholski to the position of third-party origination manager.

Grocholski will manage Inlanta's expanding third-party origination business and oversee the execution of new partnership agreements.

He is a 17-year veteran of the mortgage industry, previously serving as Inlanta's branch liaison and account executive.
