The Department of Housing and Urban Development has named Jim Reed to serve as New England regional administrator.

As the former executive director for the Housing Authority of Newport, R.I., Reed will manage HUD's operations for a six-state region that includes Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

In this position he will be HUD's chief liaison to state and local elected officials, congressional delegations, and other stakeholders throughout New England.

Reed also served as a senior administrator at the Boston Housing Authority.

The Urban Land Institute named Silverstein Properties CEO Marty Burger the new chairman of ULI New York, effective July 1.

Burger will succeed current chairman Robert Lieber, who has led ULI New York since July 2013.

Burger has been a ULI member since 1995 and has served on ULI New York’s advisory board since 2014.

He is also a global ULI trustee, a governor of the philanthropic ULI Foundation and chairman of one of ULI's Urban Development/Mixed-Use Product Councils.

Arbor Commercial Mortgage has appointed Jeffrey Allshouse as senior vice president of FHA sales and Jeffrey Ross as senior vice president and chief underwriter.

Allshouse will be responsible for growing Arbor's nationwide HUD/FHA loan originations platform.

Prior to joining Arbor, he held senior leadership positions at Prudential Mortgage Capital's HUD multifamily/health care lending unit.

Ross will be responsible for managing Arbor's FHA multifamily, seniors housing and health care operational staff.

Prior to joining Arbor, he worked for Wells Fargo Multifamily Capital, where he was most recently the director of FHA screening.

RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corp. said that Kelli Yarbrough has joined the company as vice president of loan retention, responsible for all aspects of customer contact in the loan retention process for RoundPoint's MSR portfolio.

Yarbrough is a veteran of the mortgage industry with more than 16 years of experience leading both sales and operations teams in wholesale, retail and direct-to-consumer channels.

Previously, she was a loan originator with LoanDepot. Earlier in her career, she served as vice president of training for originations and operations for RoundPoint Mortgage Co., formerly the origination arm that the company retired to focus on its mortgage servicing business.

BOK Financial Mortgage Correspondent Mortgage Services has promoted Angelo Zakis to national account manager over the newly formed credit union segment.

Zakis joined BOK Financial in 2013 as a regional sales manager to grow the Northeast and North Central correspondent regions.

In his new role, he will focus on building partnerships with credit unions for BOK Financial across the United States.

First United Mortgage Group has hired Derek Aramburu as mortgage market manager for South Texas.

He brings to the firm over 22 years of experience in sales, sales management, P&L management, underwriting guidelines and secondary markets.

Aramburu was most recently regional vice president of New American Funding.

VirPack has promoted Cy Brinn to president and also appointed him to its board of directors.

Brinn, who joined VirPack as COO in 2013, has worked with financial services technology for more than 30 years.

Over the course of his career, he has served in executive and leadership roles at GHR Systems, Metavante, PCLender, LPS, Univest and FICS.
