Newbold Advisors hired Detta Cutright as managing director of financial services.

Cutright will oversee business development within the financial services area, with particular focus on national and regional mortgage lenders.

She joins Newbold from QBE, where she was the SVP of client development, overseeing business development activities, including client relationships, marketing communication and industry relations.

Prior to QBE, Cutright served in business development and account management roles for Essent Guaranty and Republic Mortgage Insurance Co.

GEORGIA

ATLANTA

Primary Capital Mortgage expanded its management team with the addition of Debbie Turner as SVP, chief compliance officer.

At Primary Capital Mortgage, she will be responsible for oversight of the company's compliance management system, focusing specifically on state, federal and local regulatory compliance.

Turner has held senior management positions at Premier Lending, First Century Bank and Generation Mortgage Co., as well as by starting her own compliance consulting company focused on federal and state compliance.

MASSACHUSETTS

Altisource Portfolio Solutions said that Jim Leath has joined the company as vice president enterprise sales and business development for all Altisource services.

In this role, Leath will be part of a growing sales and business development team responsible for sourcing and managing enterprise clients.

He previously held sales and business development leadership roles with Lender Processing Services, Auction.com and Hudson & Marshall.

Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP has added eight attorneys, including three partners, from DLA Piper to its national real estate practice group.

Joining the firm's Washington office are partner Jeffrey Keitelman, who will serve as a member of the executive committee, co-chair of the real estate practice group and co-managing partner of the Washington office, and partner Kim Pagotto. Joining the firm's New York office is partner Marc Hurel.

In addition, of counsels Richard Cohn, Jonathan Cohen and Joseph Miller, special counsel Hala Sibay, and associate Kelly Booker will also join the firm.

Prior to joining Stroock, Keitelman was a member of DLA Piper's executive committee, and head of its government real estate, corporate real estate and green real estate teams.

Pagotto practices in the areas of commercial real estate leasing, finance, government leasing and development.

Hurel's practice includes all areas of real estate, including sales and acquisitions, leasing, development, financing and joint ventures in New York and throughout the United States.

PENNSYLVANIA

LoanLogics hired Meg Guard as vice president of account management and support.

In this position, Guard and her team will work with clients as well as internal teams such as operations, IT and sales.

Prior to joining LoanLogics, she served as director and program manager of internal operations for Ascensus.

In addition, as a project manager at Penn Mutual, Guard focused on product development and compliance projects.

She also spent 18 years at Epicor, the last 10 as a senior project manager.

TEXAS

AUSTIN

The Texas Mortgage Bankers Association elected Tom Tallent as president for 2015-2016.

Tallent is a senior vice president with Fort Worth-based Cendera Funding Inc. with more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Prior to joining Cendera Funding, he served as a senior vice president with Southwest Bank and vice president with Colonial Savings.

New TMBA officers assisting Tallent include Vice President Mary Pirrello with Nexbank, Secretary-Treasurer Mark Raskin with PrimeLending and Associate Representative Amy Coke with Polunsky Beitel Green LLP.
