Civic Financial Services has hired Ali Elwakeel and Summer Martinez as senior account executives, Serena Yang as director of marketing and Sophie Kim as director of learning and development.

Prior to joining Civic Financial, Elwakeel was senior originator at Colony American Finance where he originated business for both the acquisition lines of credit and term financing for stabilized rental portfolios.

Martinez started in the real estate finance industry more than 12 years ago at First Franklin and LendingTree.

Yang brings to the firm more than a decade of real estate and finance marketing experience and prior to joining Civic was director of marketing at Colony American Finance, a subsidiary company of Colony Capital.

Kim holds over a decade of origination experience and recently served as vice president of learning and development for loanDepot.com.

ISGN Corp. has hired Destinee Pratt as senior vice president of servicing technologies and Chris Anderson as executive vice president of sales.

Pratt joins the company bringing with her 20 years of mortgage industry experience.

She previously served with Black Knight Financial Services and CitiFinancial Mortgage Co.

Anderson also joins ISGN with over 20 years of industry experience.

He previously served with LendingQB, Wipro Gallagher Solutions, Gallagher Financial Systems and Docutech.

KANSAS

SALINA

Sunflower Financial Inc. and Texas-based Strategic Growth Bancorp Inc. jointly announced the signing of a definitive agreement to merge.

The transaction will involve a merger of the holding companies and a merger of their respective banking entities, Sunflower Bank NA, First National Bank of Santa Fe and Capital Bank SSB, as well as Guardian Mortgage Co. Inc.

Mollie Hale Carter, current chairman and CEO of Sunflower, will serve as CEO and president of the combined holding company and CEO of the bank.

Additionally, she will serve as Co-Chairman of the combined holding company and chairman of the bank.

William D. Sanders, current chairman of SGB, will serve as co-chairman of the holding company.

William P. (Pablo) Sanders, current chairman of First National Bank of Santa Fe and Capital Bank, will be the COO of the holding company with responsibility for the mortgage and wealth management businesses and interim president of the bank.

MARYLAND

CoesterVMS, a national appraisal management company, has promoted Suzzette Bosch to national market leader.

She is now responsible for developing the company's sales plan as well as selecting and managing a team of regional market leaders.

Before joining CoesterVMS, Bosch was responsible for expanding sales territories and managing operations support for loan officers at DB Home Lending, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, and 1st Commonwealth Bank of Virginia/First Choice Bank.

Caliber Home Loans Inc. has appointed Al Murad as its senior vice president of consumer direct.

Murad has nearly a decade of experience in consumer direct lending, most recently serving as senior vice president of sales at loanDepot.

He previously served as loan originator and sales manager at First Residential Mortgage until the company's acquisition by LendingTree.

Genworth Mortgage Insuranceappointed Evan Stolove as its general counsel and senior vice president with oversight of its legal and compliance division.

Stolove brings over 20 years of legal and business experience, the last five of which were spent at Fannie Mae as deputy general counsel.
