EVP Marketing - Personal Wealth Management

David has spent more than 30 years in the financial services industry. He began his career on the front line as a teller and customer service representative at the Bank of Boston. After a year he was selected to join the management training program at BayBank Harvard Trust in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was during a rotation through the marketing department that he was introduced to the discipline where he would spend the rest of his career. As marketing officer for the bank, David was responsible for Advertising, promotion, public relations and location analysis. It was during this time that the first ATMs were introduced and much of his energy was devoted to introducing consumers to this new technology. David left BayBank in 1984 to join Shawmut Bank in Boston where he led product development for electronic products. It was there that he launched the first personal and small business online banking product when the technology was in its infancy. In 1989, David left Shawmut to join Fidelity Investments in Boston. During his ten year tenure at Fidelity, David held a variety of positions including product development, distribution marketing and sales management. While at Fidelity, David was responsible for introducing Fidelity’s first open platform which allowed customers to buy non-Fidelity funds. He was also responsible for developing and launching the company’s first active trader brokerage service.David left Fidelity to join Dreyfus in New York as Chief Marketing Officer. While at Dreyfus, he was responsible for all aspects of marketing including strategy, communications, research and database marketing for the retail and institutional businesses. In 1998, David left the corporate world to join Sullivan, a small communications strategy and design firm where he was a partner and served as and financial services practice lead. While at Sullivan, David served as strategist and consultant to some of the country’s top financial services companies including Fidelity, MetLife, JPMorgan Chase, Ameriprise Financial, T. Rowe Price and OppenheimerFunds.David is currently Managing Director of Citigold Wealth Management where he serves as affluent segment manager. He is responsible for strategy, offer development, client experience and marketing of Citi’s products and services targeting affluent and high net worth clients.David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Boston University.
