Karen is Managing Partner of DeRose Financial Planning Group, a premier independent fee-based financial planning and wealth management firm that helps clients create the life they value and the legacy they envision.  Her firm’s philosophy is “Life Happens… Plan for It!”  With 19 years of experience, Karen and her advisory team will uncover problems you may not know you have and develop strategies to help you preserve and enhance your wealth in a complex tax and financial environment.  Her firm’s clients are successful business owners, professionals and retirees who have worked hard to achieve the American Dream and now need to evaluate their situation to plan strategies to protect, accumulate and distribute their wealth.  Her team’s tailored approach to financial planning is based on listening to clients and translating their wants, needs and values into a plan that builds and preserves their wealth over a lifetime and beyond.\nKaren is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®, a Registered Representative.  She holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 registrations and is licensed to provide health and life insurance in several states.\nKaren is Past Chairman of the prestigious Resource Group, comprised of the top 200 financial advisors at Lincoln Financial Advisors and is Chairman of The WISE Group - Lincoln’s women advisors network.  She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Chicago.   She believes in collaborating with other trusted advisors by adding value to her client relationship’s through business development and is the Past President of the BNI Wildfire Group and a member of The Executive Guild.   Karen is also a Collaborative Law Fellow with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (providing financial expertise in divorces). Karen has appeared on NBC Chicago and was listed in Chicago Magazine’s “Five-Star Wealth Advisor” in 2010 – 2014 and awarded the Circle of Excellence Award 2011 – 2014 with Women in Financial Services (WIFS) and in 2014 she received the Women’s Choice Award.\nKaren earned her bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in accounting and marketing from Barat College.
