\n\n\n\nUntitled Document\n\n\n\n\n\nMari Adam is founder and President of Adam Financial Associates, Inc., a personal financial advisory firm in Boca Raton, Florida registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Registered Investment Advisor. The firm has offered fee-only investment advisory and financial planning services since 1995, and specializes in providing expert and objective advice to women and clients nearing or in retirement.\n Mari has been practicing as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) for over twenty years. She is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, and has been an active participant in the financial planning industry, serving as President and Director of the South Florida chapter of the Financial Planning Association from 1992-2001 and again from 2005 through 2008. She has been a guest author, commentator and speaker for a wide range of corporations, professional groups and publications such as Business Week, CBS MarketWatch, Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Redbook, Newsweek, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Money Magazine, SmartMoney, the Miami Herald, the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, U.S. News & World Report, and the Baltimore Sun.\n Before founding Adam Financial Associates, Inc., Mari managed trust and investment relationships with what is now Wells Fargo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and BB&T in the Washington, D.C. area. She began her career as a Foreign Service Officer with the United States Department of State, completing several overseas and domestic assignments. Mari now lives in Boca Raton, Florida with her two children, ages 17 and 20.\n She holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in California, continued her post-graduate studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, and earned an M.B.A. specializing in International Finance from George Washington University in Washington D.C. She is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO and is a licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent in the state of Florida.\n Mari’s particular interest is helping women address their special financial and retirement needs. As a divorced mother of two, Mari has experienced firsthand the challenges of juggling children, family, career and community commitments. She frequently participates in pro bono activities designed to increase financial literacy among American consumers, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Berger Institute for Work, Family, and Children in Claremont, California. \n
