President of Fidelity® Charitable Gift Fund

Sarah Libbey is president of Fidelity® Charitable Gift Fund, a donor-advised fund and the third largest public charity in the United States. Established in 1991, the Charitable Gift Fund was the first national donor-advised fund program and remains the largest such program in the country, providing charitable solutions to both donors and advisors. The Charitable Gift Fund allows individual donors to establish a dedicated Giving Account® – and to thus create a long-range, systematic plan for giving to their favorite charitable organizations.Ms. Libbey began her career at Fidelity Investments in 1981, and has held a series of leadership positions in the company’s retail and institutional businesses. She was named president of the Charitable Gift Fund in 2008. Since that time, she has introduced numerous innovative product and service offerings to support the Charitable Gift Fund’s mission of furthering the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make giving simple and effective.Ms. Libbey is a member of the board of directors for the UNH Foundation, established in 1989 to build private support for the University of New Hampshire. Among her many philanthropic interests, she has a long-standing commitment to furthering social justice and economic opportunities in the Ixcan region of Guatemala.Born in 1957, Ms. Libbey earned a bachelor of arts in Sociology and English at the University of New Hampshire in 1979.
