FNF Group acquires Real Geeks to expand agent base

FNF Group has acquired Real Geeks, a provider of a customer relationship management platform and other SaaS-based marketing tools, to target single real estate agents unaffiliated with a team.

Real Geeks has approximately 31,000 customers, including 11,000 agents using its platform, which offers lead management, a property search website, a property valuation tool and SMS auto-responder.

FNF Group provides title insurance and technology and transaction services to professionals in the real estate and mortgage industries.

"Real Geeks is a great complement for our existing Commissions Inc. (CINC) business," said FNF Chairman William Foley in a press release.

The acquisition of Real Geeks follows FNF's purchase of CINC for $250 million in 2016. FNF also owns stakes in a number of California brokerages and plans to make investments across a number of states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

"We're very interested in the business of controlling the real estate transaction from the point of time that the listing is opened with the Realtor and then managing that transaction on behalf of the Realtors and lenders all the way through the title, all the way through the close," said Foley during FNF's fourth-quarter earnings call.
