Nationstar brings its customer call center back to the U.S.

Nationstar Mortgage has returned its overseas call center operations to the U.S., a move that will add 500 jobs at the company.

While the international call center, located in Manila, was managed by an outside vendor, Dallas-based Nationstar operates its three domestic sites. Late last year, it opened a new center in Longview, Texas. Since then it has been adding team members there to ensure the transition was seamless, a company spokeswoman said. Of the 500 new jobs created, more than 70% are located in Longview.

The other two centers are in Dallas and Chandler, Ariz.

"Our customers shared with us that speaking to U.S.-based representatives would make their service experience better, so we prioritized that feedback and have invested in moving all of our call center operations back to the United States," said Nationstar Chairman and CEO Jay Bray in a press release.

"Our goal is to deliver unmatched care and service to our customers day in and day out, and we believe this investment will have a meaningful impact on our customers and their home loan experience."

This August, Nationstar is rebranding as Mr. Cooper.

Nationstar has a facility in Chennai, India, staffed by about 850 full-time workers who support its technology, operations and corporate functions. They were not impacted by this transition, the spokeswoman said.
