New-Home Sales Dip

New single-family home sales declined 0.8% in June from the monthly record set in May, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.The agency reported that new-home sales fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.33 million in June from a revised 1.34 million in May. The June rate was 11.1% higher than the 1.19 million recorded a year earlier. The median sales price of a new home was $209,900 in June, and the average sales price was $262,400, the Census Bureau reported. There was a 3.4-month supply of new homes for sale.
