Movement Mortgage has hired industry veteran Ryan Rosenthal as its regional builder manager for the California and Hawaii markets.

Rosenthal brings to the firm experience in new home mortgage sales, products and processes in addition to a focus on recruitment and talent support.

Prior to joining Movement Mortgage, he served in a variety of capacities for companies including Bank of America and Prospect Mortgage.

Most recently, Rosenthal was the division builder manager for HomeBridge Financial Services Inc.

HAWAII

HONOLULU

Collateral Analytics, a provider of automated real estate property valuation and analytic products, named John Holbrook as executive vice president of business strategy.

Holbrook is a 20-year veteran in the appraisal and valuations space, and he joins Collateral Analytics from Fannie Mae, where he served as director of collateral technology and strategy, responsible for developing and supporting appraisal technology, workflows and risk analytics.

Prior to Fannie Mae, Holbrook instituted a valuations channel for Mueller Services Inc., leveraging its field inspections.

Prior to that, he was vice president of valuation strategy for a division of Lender Processing Services (now Black Knight Financial Services).

Proper Title, a full-service title insurance agency serving the residential and commercial real estate industries, has hired Gabe Krych as senior commercial title underwriter.

With more than 40 years of commercial title experience working with Chicago Title Insurance Co., Krych has been involved with many noteworthy projects in Chicago, including The Ritz-Carlton and Park Tower.

Krych will work out of Proper Title's Palatine, Ill. office, where she will be responsible for commercial transactions and complex commercial underwriting decisions.

PrimeLending, a PlainsCapital company, has promoted Steve Thompson to president of the national residential lender.

Thompson, who previously served as PrimeLending’s executive vice president of national production, will continue to lead the company’s 1,300-plus loan originators nationwide, as well as taking on responsibility for national operations, capital markets, joint ventures and marketing.

He joined PrimeLending in 2011 as the Western division manager, quickly earning a promotion to national sales leader in 2013 and becoming a member of the executive leadership team.

VIRGINIA

MARTINSVILLE

Carter Bank & Trust has hired Richard Owen as senior vice president and director of mortgage banking to launch a new mortgage lending division.

Owen brings more than 20 years of experience in working with banks to expand product lines and form new partnerships.

Before joining Carter, he was senior vice president of the mortgage division for Middleburg Bank in Richmond, where he led this newly formed division in sales, marketing, operations and compliance.

Prior to this, he was senior vice president for the Virginia Bankers Association and executive director of the Virginia Mortgage Lenders Association.
