Planet Home Lending said that Dierk Hohman has joined the company as executive vice president, chief general counsel and enterprise risk officer.

Most recently, Hohman served as executive vice president, general counsel and chief risk officer for NexBank Capital Inc.

Prior to NexBank, he was senior vice president and associate general counsel for Nationstar Mortgage.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

WASHINGTON

Berkadia has added Laura Saull Smith as managing director. She has more than 30 years of experience underwriting and originating commercial loans and specializes in national HUD multifamily and health care financing.

Joining Saull Smith at Berkadia will be her team members Ann Bolen and Susan Bealmear.

Bolen has an affordable housing background and spent 27 years at the Virginia Housing Development Agency. Bealmear has an accounting background with experience working for the Federal Reserve Bank.

MASSACHUSETTS

Mortgage Network Inc. has opened a new branch office in Bluffton, S.C., which will be managed by Brian Neumann, a 14-year veteran of the residential mortgage industry who has spent the past 12 years at Mortgage Network.

Neumann will be joined by Sam Cavanaugh, a senior loan officer who has 12 years of experience in the mortgage and real estate industries.

MISSOURI

FinLocker, a financial data and analytics company, has added Eric Bloomquist to its senior leadership team.

Bloomquist began his career working with a Bank of America predecessor, NationsBank.

He has also served with Equifax and Citigroup, and at Fannie Mae as senior product manager for e-business and single-family business.

TMS, a financial services and mortgage company, has selected Tom Gillis to lead its West division correspondent sales team.

Gillis brings nearly 15 years of mortgage experience to TMS, which includes roles at US Bank Home Mortgage, Bank of America Home Loans and PennyMac.

NEW YORK

Hunt Mortgage Group said that Precilla Torres has joined the firm as senior managing director and head of the proprietary lending group.

Torres comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from Ares Management, where she was most recently the co-portfolio manager and co-head of its CMBS platform. Previously, she was the head of capital markets of the commercial real estate debt group.

PENNSYLVANIA

FORT WASHINGTON

Ditech Holding Corp. has hired Robert Pieklo as head of revenue management and Andrew Badstubner as chief technology officer.

Prior to joining the company, Pieklo spent 14 years at American Financial Resources/eLEND, most recently as chief strategy officer.

Badstubner was chief executive officer and founder of Amplify Technology Group. Previously, he was chief technology Officer of Kabbage, an online financial technology company.
