Asian Americans for Equality has awarded Freddie Mac its Dream of Equality Award for the company's record in supporting affordable housing, community development, and philanthropy.In particular, the organization cited Freddie Mac's support for the Rebuild Chinatown Initiative, which was launched last July to help ensure Chinatown's long-term viability as an economic and cultural hub for New York in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center.
