B of A Leads Mortgage Index on Thursday

Bank of America stocks received the highest bids on Thursday compared to other stocks in the index that brought the sales volume to a staggering 72.5 million.

The average volume of B of A stock sales surpassed 164 million while the average price dropped anywhere from 0.03% to 0.25%.

Most mortgage companies followed the wave alongside most S&P 500 stocks that edged higher on Thursday with few exceptions including Bank of America.

Besides B of A, three other Mortgage Industry Equity Composite stocks, including Home Loan Servicing Solutions, PHH Mortgage and Kaufman & Broad, were in the red trading with minor losses of less than 1%.

Kaufman & Broad saw its stock price decreases fluctuate between 0.30% and 1.36%.

All the other stocks in the index traded up also by less than 1% to 2% except MGIC whose stock price increased by 0.26% at the lowest point and 5.76% at the highest.

Fiserv Inc. was among the other stocks with relatively higher gains during the day posting gains of 1.57% to 1.82%.
