Walker & Dunlop Inc., a commercial mortgage banker, has formed an alliance with commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield that will focus on providing their clients multifamily financing (through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Housing Agency) and investment sales services.
Clients of each company will have seamless access to the Cushman & Wakefield investment sales platform as well as the funding programs available through Walker & Dunlop.
Cushman & Wakefield's multifamily investment sales business is expected to do $3 billion in transactions this year. Its Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick Goldman debt and equity finance unit will be responsible for directing multifamily transactions using agency financing within the company.
