A former court clerk in Illinois has been indicted for accepting a cash bribe, in exchange for creating a forged deed on a home.

Regina Taylor was indicted in U.S. District Court in Chicago on one count of mail fraud and two counts of wire fraud.

While serving as the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, Taylor accepted a $200 bribe to prepare and record a back-dated quit-claim deed on a home in Oak Park, Ill., according to an FBI news release. Taylor accepted the bribe from an undercover FBI agent.
