Kimco Realty Corp., New Hyde Park, N.Y., has agreed to sell 1.8 million shares of its common stock to UBS Securities LLC in a public offering.The net proceeds, expected to total approximately $66 million, will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include funding a portion of the capital required for Kimco's expected merger with Mid-Atlantic Realty Trust, the company said. Kimco, a real estate investment trust specializing in shopping centers, has granted the underwriter an option to buy up to an additional 270,000 shares of common stock to cover any overallotments.
