Most mortgage stocks traded at cents on the dollar up or down.
Astoria Federal shares traded down 2.28% marking the highest decline among the 17 stocks in the Mortgage Industry Equity Composite Index.
PHH Mortgage shares also traded down 1.63%, along with Radian Group and Kaufman & Broad whose share prices declined by 1.4% and 1.07%, respectively.
Six other stocks traded down by less than 1% with the rest of the mortgage stock trading up by less than 1% with one exception.
Fidelity National was the biggest gainer for the day selling over 2.3 million shares up 1.75%.
