Mortgage Stocks End Week Mixed

It was a mixed bag of results for the Mortgage Industry Equity Composite on Friday as just 11 of the 17 members finished the day higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average set a new record and closed above 16,000 for the second consecutive day.

Just two stocks, Radian Group and Ellie Mae, had price gains of more than 1%. Dime Community closed unchanged.

Redwood Trust lost 1.86%, while OceanFirst Financial lost 1.6% and KB Home was down slightly more than 1%.

MGIC Investment Corp., Thursday’s biggest gainer, was ahead of its previous close most of the day, before ending trading down 0.13%.
