Trulia named Selma Hepp as its new chief economist.
Hepp joins Trulia from the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors where she oversaw research and analysis of housing market and economic trends, surveys and the impact of real estate related regulatory and legislative policy.
She served as a senior economist at CAR and as an economist and manager of public policy and homeownership at NAR.
Hepp has also worked as a research associate at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education.

Walker & Dunlop Inc. hired Anthea Martin to join its FHA finance group.
Martin, vice president, will specialize in loan originations for both market rate and affordable multifamily properties, with a primary emphasis on FHA-insured mortgages in the Western United States.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, she served as vice president and senior MAP underwriter at CBRE.

Blackstone said that Jonathan Pollack has joined the firm as a senior managing director in its real estate group.
He will be the chief investment officer for Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies.
Pollack was previously a managing director and global head of commercial real estate, as well as head of risk for structured finance, at Deutsche Bank.

Tiptree Financial Inc. said that Sandra Bell will join the company as chief financial officer, effective July 1.
Bell brings over 30 years of business experience in the financial services and energy industries, both as a public company CFO and as an investment banker.
Most recently, she served as CFO of Prospect Mortgage, and prior to joining Prospect, she served as CFO of PHH Corp.
Prior to PHH, Bell served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank Cincinnati.

Prior to joining LoanLogics, he served as national sales director for the West at Interthinx, and as vice president of strategic accounts at CoreLogic, covering fraud, valuation and BPO services.
