The board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco has appointed Lisa Violet as senior vice president and chief risk officer.
Violet has served in senior roles in governance, risk and compliance in both the financial services and technology sectors.
Before joining the bank, she was the chief audit executive at Hitachi Data Systems, where she led a global team responsible for internal audit and business continuity.
Prior to her tenure at HDS, Violet served in a number of senior positions in the banking industry, amassing 20 years of experience at institutions including Wells Fargo and MUFG Union Bank.
Providence Bank has hired Michael Hodges as a mortgage banking officer.
Hodges will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans in St. Charles County and surrounding areas.
He has over 30 years in the financial industry, including 10 years in branch management and 24 years of lending experience in the mortgage industry.
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler has hired Gregory Nalbandian as a senior managing director in its New Jersey office.
Nalbandian has more than 23 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and joins HFF from NorthMarq Capital, where he worked as a senior vice president and managing director since 2005.
Prior to NorthMarq, he was a principal at The Schonbraun McCann Group, a real estate advisory firm in New Jersey.
John Costa has joined Santander Bank as senior vice president and head of mortgage sales.
Based in Santander's Villanova, he is responsible for sales growth in all mortgage channels across the firm's Northeast footprint.
Costa, a 20-year enterprise sales and new business development veteran, joins Santander from Embrace Home Loans where he was a retail lending executive.
He also served with Weichert Financial Services, Sutherland Global Services and PHH Mortgage.
AmTrust Title Insurance Co. said that Randy Elkins and Ed Lester have joined the company to spearhead corporate growth throughout Texas.
As managing director and counsel of Texas operations, Elkins' primary responsibilities are to establish offices in Houston, Dallas and Austin and to oversee AmTrust's organic growth across the state.
Prior to joining New York-based AmTrust, he held positions with Stewart Title, including SVP, counsel and division manager at Stewart Title Co. and vice president at Stewart Title Guaranty Co.
Before joining AmTrust, Lester retired after a 34-year career with Stewart Title Co. serving as group SVP overseeing title operations in South Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
